The “Fish, Football and Girls” (השכונה שלנו) poster is a fantastic piece of Israeli cinema history. Released in 1968 and directed by the legendary Uri Zohar, this film is a defining moment in Israeli pop culture, especially with the participation of the iconic comedy trio HaGashash HaHiver. It also features the legendary Shaike Ophir, one of Israel’s most beloved actors.
As one of the first Israeli films to blend slapstick humor with social commentary, it captures the spirit of the late 1960s. Zohar, known for his deep influence on Israeli film and later for his shift to ultra-Orthodox Judaism, brought his signature irreverence and sharp wit to this project.
Poster designed by the famous Hovev Kruvi.
