Description

Vintage Israeli Poster – “Your laundry will be as white as snow”. Advertisement poster for Kesem washing powder, produced by “Shemen” factory. “Monsohn” lithographic printing, Jerusalem [1936]. Design: Franz Kraus. Hebrew.

Appearing on the poster is Anny Kraus, the designer’s wife. “Shemen” was established in 1906; the factory manufactured oil and soap and was one of the first Zionist factories in Palestine 68X46 cm. Very good condition. From the collection of Dr Simon Cohen.Social realism
