Mifal HaPais advertisement poster, mini lottery ticket
In the early 1960s, a mini lottery ticket was attached to each lottery ticket. Through it the purchaser of the ticket could have won it instead of a sum of money, equal to the price of the ticket.
The “petty”, which has been practiced in the country since 1960, skyrocketed Mifal Hapayis sales. The number of printed tickets was increased at once from 300 to 400 thousand, and in the first lottery that included “Zuta” only 12 tickets remained for sale at the booths!
