Description

The Seventh Independence Day of the State of Israel: Very Rare – Official Vintage Poster – 1955, designed by Gideon Keich.

Pays homage to the 12 tribes of Israel. It features an illustration of a tower composed of a dozen stones, each engraved with a symbol representing one of the tribes. Proudly displayed on top are seven Israeli flags in blue and white, symbolizing the seven years of Israel’s independence. This official poster was published for the seventh Independence Day of the State of Israel by litho-offset “Dafna”, the Governmental Printer, Jerusalem, 1955. The design was created by Gideon Keich (signed in the plate).

This poster marks the 7th Israeli Independence Day in 1955. Since the establishment of the state, an official poster has been published annually by the Israeli Ministry of Education to commemorate Israel’s existence. A design contest is held among local, professional, and well-known artists, resulting in a poster mostly containing symbolic motives related to the state of Israel.”
