Description

Vintage Israeli Election Poster – “For Security with Peace” (Ma’arach, 1970s)

Original Ma’arach (Alignment – Israel Labor Party) election poster from the 1970s.
The Ma’arach alliance – uniting Mapai, Ahdut HaAvoda and Rafi – dominated Israeli politics from the state’s founding until 1977, when it lost power to the Likud Party under Menachem Begin in the historic political turnover known as “The Mahapach.”
The Alignment (Ma’arach) – Israeli Labor Party

The slogan “For Security with Peace” reflects the post–Yom Kippur War sentiment and the party’s doctrine of combining strong defense with a pragmatic pursuit of peace agreements.
The bold red circle and black typography embody the clear, assertive visual language typical of Israeli political posters of the 1970s.

Zincographic print on paper.
Good vintage condition, with original fold marks from campaign use.
