Vintage Israeli Agriculture Advertisement Poster for fertilizer- “Chile Salpeter (Sodium Nitrate)” Designed by Meir Gur-Aryeh. The illustration features a branch with oranges, and at the bottom, a farmer is shown sowing seeds in a field.
Meir Gur-Aryeh (December 1891, Bobruisk – February 2, 1951, Jerusalem) was one of the most recognized and important artists and graphic designers in the history of Israel. Alongside his colleague Ze’ev Raban, he is considered the father of utilitarian graphics in Israel and was a part of the first generation of the Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem.
