Original Vintage Israeli Poster • Designed by Hovav (Hobby) Kruvi • Rare
This vibrant original poster was issued for the 1967 Israeli Independence Day celebrations, produced by the Central Committee for Independence Festivities. Designed by Hovav “Hobby” Kruvi, one of Israel’s standout graphic designers of the 1960s, the poster features a dynamic spiral composition filled with colorful fireworks and expressive hand-drawn typography—an iconic example of Israeli mid-century graphic design.
The poster announces a major national event with performances by leading artists of the era, folk dancing, mass celebrations, and large outdoor shows with over 1000 dancers and 200 musicians across the country.
Kruvi’s bold visual language—neon bursts of pink, orange, yellow, and blue—captures the joyful spirit of Israel’s 19th Independence Day. The typographic spiral creates a sense of motion and festivity, making this one of the period’s most striking Independence Day posters.
