“The Etzel Youth Movement” Hanukkah Gathering Vintage Israeli Poster 1948

The Irgun, or Etzel, was a Zionist organization that operated in Mandate Palestine and then in Israel between 1931 and 1948. The ideology of the Irgun was based on Revisionist Zionism, founded by Ze’ev Jabotinsky. ‘The policy of the new organization was based squarely on Jabotinsky’s teachings: every Jew had the right to enter Palestine.

This poster was printed during the independence war of Israel in December 1948
