b”Strengthen the youth”, poster issued for Youth Week 1940.
Recruitment poster for the Jewish Legion, targeting Jewish youth. This poster, designed in 1940 by the esteemed graphic designer Franz Kraus, was presented during ‘Youth Week’. The Jewish Legion, founded by Ze’ev Jabotinsky during World War I, consisted of five Jewish volunteer battalions within the British Army. Their mission was rooted in the belief that active Jewish participation in global affairs was essential to advancing the Zionist cause and ultimately establishing a Jewish state.
