The peace Treaty was signed in Washington, DC, United States on 26 March 1979, following the 1978 Camp David Accords. The treaty was signed by Egyptian president Anwar Sadat and Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin, and witnessed by United States president Jimmy Carter.
