Rare Yiddish Zionist Newspapers – Paris, 1947–1948

A highly important pair of original Yiddish Zionist newspaper, “Di Zionistische Stimme” (La Voix Sioniste), printed in Paris (47, rue de Chabrol, 10th arrondissement), a center of Jewish publishing activity in post-war Europe.

May 14, 1948, the day of the establishment of the State of Israel.
Main headline (Yiddish): “אַל אונדזער ייִדישן פֿאָלק — די אומאָפּהענגיקייט איז דערקלערט!”
Translation: “To Our Jewish People – Independence Has Been Declared!”
It contains dramatic coverage of the declaration of the State of Israel, reports from Palestine, and reflections on the historic moment, alongside a portrait of Theodor Herzl.

These newspaper were intended for Yiddish-speaking Jewish readers in France and across post-war Europe, including survivors and displaced communities.
