01 Mar Haman in Ancient Persia — Khamenei in Iran 2026: A Purim Echoing Through History

Does History Repeat Itself?
According to international reports, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei (is he the modern-day Haman?), was eliminated during the latest developments.
Days of War, Renewal, and Redemption
The people of Israel are sitting in shelters while the Israel Defense Forces are striking in Iran.
Dear Clients and Friends,
We are living through dramatic days. Sirens sound in our cities, families gather in protected rooms, and reservists are once again called to duty. At the same time, the IDF is operating deep within the Iranian arena as part of the campaign known as “Roar of the Lion.” The reality is complex and tense, affecting not only the region but the broader international system as well.
And the ancient question rises again:
Does history truly repeat itself — or does it merely rhyme?
The Book of Esther – A Decree Sealed by the King’s Ring
At the heart of the Book of Esther stands a global empire — Persia under King Ahasuerus. The Jewish people are scattered across 127 provinces, a minority without sovereignty. Haman the Agagite succeeds in transforming hatred into official policy, sealing a decree of annihilation with the king’s signet ring.
This was not a local disturbance — it was an empire-wide decree.
Mordechai cries out. Esther wrestles with whether to risk her life. She chooses to act.
And then comes the defining moment: “V’nahafoch Hu” — it was turned upside down.
The Current War – A Broad and Complex Arena
The campaign unfolding now extends far beyond a simple bilateral conflict. It involves advanced intelligence systems, aerial and missile operations, and international alliances. The United States stands alongside Israel in efforts to prevent wider escalation and to safeguard regional stability.
According to international reports, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei (is he the modern-day Haman?), was eliminated during the latest developments. This is an event with deep political and strategic implications, one that may significantly reshape the balance of power in the region.
The comparison is not a simplistic identification between different historical eras — yet the symbolic echo is unmistakable:
Persia once again.
A declared existential threat once again.
And once again, the month of Adar.
A Society Under Test – Spirit Under Fire
Modern war does not unfold only on the battlefield. It unfolds within society itself:
Parents comforting children in protected spaces.
Communities uniting.
Soldiers operating far from home.
Precisely in the month when we are commanded to increase in joy, a unique strength emerges — the ability to preserve spirit even under fire.
Purim posters created in the Land of Israel during difficult periods remind us that culture is a declaration of life. Even when the world is turbulent, the Jewish people create, celebrate, and believe in the future.
And in these days, the Jewish people — together with nations seeking stability and secure lives — stand in a significant test against forces of extremism and destruction. This is a moment when values are being tested no less than borders.
Yet our long history teaches us one clear truth:
We are not a people broken by fear.
We are a people who believe in the power to transform destiny.
Days of war — but also of renewal and redemption.
The People of Israel live
