Original educational poster from the 1960s, produced for the Mikveh Israel Agricultural School, illustrating various types of aircraft and ships used during the early decades of the State of Israel.
Printed in offset lithography, the poster features hand-drawn illustrations in a classic mid-20th-century educational style, with warm tones and detailed line work.
This poster served as a visual teaching aid for lessons in transportation, aviation and maritime studies.
The upper section depicts a range of airplanes and helicopters typical of the period:
Light two-blade helicopter in flight over an open landscape
Early commercial jetliner, reminiscent of the streamlined shapes of 1960s international carriers
Medium transport aircraft on the runway, accompanied by an airport service vehicle
Twin-engine light aircraft used for domestic flights and pilot training
Single-engine small aircraft commonly used for instruction and short-range aviation
The lower panel presents several types of civilian and commercial ships:
Large passenger ferry in white and yellow, similar to Mediterranean coastal lines
Cargo vessel with tall masts and a national flag
Israeli fishing boat decorated with colorful pennants, reflective of Haifa and Jaffa ports of the 1960s
Small sailing boat used for basic seamanship
Rowboat representing traditional small-craft navigation
Large passenger or commercial liner shown prominently in the foreground
